I took my first Bikram yoga class in 1998 in San Francisco - I couldn’t even touch my knees, let alone my toes!
I weighed nearly 300 pounds, drank and smoked heavily, had skyrocketing blood pressure, cholesterol, and major depression.
With regular practice, I got sober, dropped 100 pounds, and got my healthy life back - Bikram yoga was the key!
I attended Bikram Yoga Teacher training in Fall 2002.
Along with my wife, Suzanne, I was Co-owner/Director of 3 successful Bikram Yoga studios for over 14 years in the Portland area.
Now, in addition to teaching this wonderful and healing series, I enjoy spending time with my family and working with special needs kids in the Portland Public School system.
I would describe my teaching style as tough, yet warm-hearted and encouraging with clear and concise instructions.
