Bikram Hot Yoga is the original Hot Yoga designed by Bikram Choudhury. It's 90-minute sequence of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises practiced in a humid room heated to 105 degrees. Specifically designed to engage the entire body, we use the heat as a tool to stretch deeper, prevent injury, and flush unwanted toxins. Each posture targets specific muscles, ligaments, tendons and joints. Stimulating the organs, glands, nerves and everything in between, this yoga moves freshly oxygenated blood through the entire body, helping to restore all systems to a healthy working order.
This 90-minute sequence was strategically designed to deliver total health through the balancing and strengthening of every system in the body in order to prevent illness and injury, promote weight loss ,and limit the effects of aging. The series is dynamic and exhilarating. The skills of concentration, patience, determination and self control are combined to increase mental clarity and reduce stress.
